St Peter’s Kirk, Sandwick
Client: Scottish Redundant Churches Trust
Pentarq provided Architectural and Quantity Surveying services for the
restoration of this early Presbyterian Kirk. Following years of neglect
the Kirk was bought by the Scottish Redundant Churches Trust and with the
assistance of the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic Scotland a programme
of repairs was undertaken to restore the Kirk to its former state.
The Kirk is proving to be a popular venue for weddings although only during
the summer – there is no electricity!
